PostSubject: G'Day Bikers!   Fri May 29 2009, 19:22

Finally made it to the Forum! Cool
My name is George, and I have a YZF1000 Thunderace which I've had since new, some 11 years now. Before that I had an XJ900.
Looking forward to getting to a ride soon. I also like ride days at the track; as you know Oran is closing at the end of this year, so looking to get a couple of days in before then.
Happy to be here!
See ya,
George

Yeah, it is a loooonnng time -we probably should get married, or I should at least include it in my Will. Anyway, I knew I was going to have it for a while, so I've tried to look after it, and I've also done it up a bit. Its kinda worked out because I still get asked if it's a new bike sometimes. Shocked

My secret huh? Well, obviously there was a bit of TLC 11 years ago Embarassed, but we're over that. Grab by the scruff and throw around seems to be working for us now Twisted Evil

See you out there soon when this weather improves.

I love track days. A few of the guys now have the bug so we may have a few bods along.

Are you booked or planning a date soon? My arm is very easily twisted for track days bank account willing.

Yeah, I've got the bug too, but it seems like they're getting more expensive by the minute - especially now they're making you pay for the additional MA licence and sometimes the garage.
I was booked for next week 7/6; I've been keeping an eye on the long-range forecast, and up until yesterday there was a high chance of rain for 7/6, so I've tried to change 4/7, but I haven't heard back from them yet. [I'd rather not be in the rain - I mean, I'm out there for fun, not for "rain practice".]
I've been to the Creek a few times, but much prefer Oran - shame it shuttin'. I thought I might give Wakefield a go once Oran closes. Have you been? Ultimately it would be good to try every track across the country....yeeha!
So hopefully will see you out there soon. By the way, I think it was your vids I saw from your trip to Oran - you're an animal......well done.....
