PostSubject: Introduction   Wed Dec 15 2010, 13:29

Hi everyone,

My name is Jessica and I am new to the forum and I thought I would follow the prompt from Ed and Kris in the December Newsletter to post up a bit of an introduction. (And my Dad, RossT, is always nudging me to get more involved so here you go Dad!)

I am a relatively new rider. I have had my license for two years but haven't done enough riding to clock up that much experience. I ride an R6, was previously on a little CBR250R, but recently sold that and I now share my partners bike (even though I ride it more than him! Much to his dismay!)

I previously lived in Townsville so did a lot of riding on quiet streets and lovely open roads ... no I am contending with Sydney traffic! I've taken the challenge head on and am riding from the Inner West to work in North Sydney and back each day and have already seen my riding improve out of sight in that time ... but I'm still aware that there is a lot yet to learn. (No cocky rider here!) Sydney traffic is certainly a good opportunity to practice my slow riding Smile.

I'm really looking forward to Dad dragging me along on some rides next year so I can learn from those who have been riding a lot longer than me! I also look forward to meeting you all!

Have a safe and merry Christmas!

Cheers,
Jes

Welcome Jes! I also work in North Sydney. That bike looks very familiar to me - I parked next to one (with a female rider on it) a few weeks ago in McLaren St (near council chambers). May just bump into you in North Sydney Smile

I have a Honda CBF1000 (with a Ventura Rack at the back) - so hard to miss me Smile

Hope to meet you sometime

Marco

Marco ... you've got it. I park in McLaren St. What a small world!

And Swinnie I'm sure my partner would LOVE to buy a new bike ... I'm just the painful girlfriend that thinks it's a waste of money having two bikes when we ride together about four times a year ... but if we got into a few more rides that would justify it! Or we could just borrow the spare R1 that my Dad has laying around Smile! haha

Definitely a small world! Very Happy McLaren St, or those few spots at the council chambers, or down Angelo St (the lefthand turn off McLaren just before you hit Pacific Hwy). There are motorbike spots at the top and bottom of Angelo St.

Definitely see you around Wink
