| | Ed wrote: | | Rudy seems to think we get more members following a ride vs random tagging of bikes in work car parks etc. For example we got a few members after the husky ride after we taggeed the bikes. I guess if they are on the road enjoying the country already, then they are more inclined to join a group if they haven't already. I think word of mouth with friends is most successful. Having said that, I 'picked up' Guy at a KFC at Macquarie. I still laugh when I think about it. |
LOL the line must be long at KFC Ed...?
I think if we have some support fr Sponsors we'll get more numbers, theyre the doors we havent fully opened. I know Kris might not have time to do the commercial site of this forum so we're just doing our own things tagging & WOM. We could leave stack of cards at dealers, bikeshops etc but it wont be that effective, they wont make an effort to distribute the cards without an incentive fr us >>>> advert space.
We have heaps of rooms, the left column under Latest Topic was pretty much unused and can be better utilised. Even if its only small ads it would worth few hundred $$, enough to produce stickers & initial layout for stuffs like rego frame, extra t-shirts, etc. Would be good if we have 20x spare tshirts size M & L for sale towards the end of the year. Im sure they will sell.
Word of mouth = bringin in a friend of a friend rather than just a stranger, i like that. |

| It seemed like everywhere I rode, Ed was there with card in hand, interrogating me: "Have you logged in yet?" It wasnt that long ago when I first looked and there were 36 members, time flies for us old blokes. | Ed wrote: | | .... I 'picked up' Guy at a KFC at Macquarie. I still laugh when I think about it. | Yeah . Mid life crisis, horemones changing, probably nothing more to it than that, Ed............ |

| I had been riding for a grand total of about four weeks. I was having a nice little run on the old road, stopped at the Mt White for coffee, enjoying the bike porn, minding my own business when I got accosted by a bunch of blokes [Ed, Rudy?] [I would like to note that this is NOT a negative thing at my advanced age] and had several NSWR cards proferred to me. I haven't looked back. I just love you guys |
